Oral health care providers can now sign up to participate in the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) through Sun Life. By participating, you have the chance to help the millions of eligible Canadians with improved access to dental care.

Participation is completely voluntary for all dentists, denturists, dental hygienists and dental specialists. Most services will be available beginning May 2024 while the remaining services, such as crowns, initial placement of partial dentures, and general anesthesia, will be available November 2024.

Resources are available on the Sun Life Portal, including the provider participation form. You can review the dental benefit grids, claims processing and payment agreement, and additional documents.

“While more than 1 million eligible seniors have already enroled to the Canadian Dental Care Plan and thousands more are enroling every day, it is now the turn of dentists, dental hygienists, denturists, specialist dentists and all oral care providers to participate. Together, we will help more than 9 million Canadians get the oral care they deserve,” said The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos Minister of Public Services and Procurement.
